Established in 1964, Foresa is mainly dedicated to the production of Formaldehyde and Adhesives.

It currently comprises production sites in Spain, Portugal and France.

Foundation of FORESA

Industrias Químicas del Carbono and Tafisa found FORESA (FOrmol + REsinas SA)

1966
First manufacture of formaldehyde

Plant installed for what is currently Perstorp. It was its first worldwide license for the manufacturing of 55% formaldehyde

1983
FINSA arrives

Finsa acquires 50% of Foresa, acquiring 100% in 2001

1996
Foresa acquires Bresfor

Foresa acquires Bresfor (Hoechst Group) in Portugal.

2006
Foresa acquires plant in France

Foresa acquires a productionj plant in Bordeaux, currently Foresa France
